do you guys know..what sould be the best compression ratio for an b18c motor at 10 psi is 10.5/1 is ok or do i need less....
i am curently running a b20b v tec whit 85mm bore and 8.5/1 compression..and running the b20b crank pulley..and only 7psi du to my big bore and low compression..dyno result 213hp 161ft/t at 8200rpm...
now i want to built a b18c with proper compression ...doest any body has dyno result...
thanks civic sc

i made 209 with with 120,xxx miles on the motor @ 9 psi, going from 180 to 209, thats stock everything, except supercharger, fuel system, hondata, short ram. i def make more hp now tho, i bumped it up to 12.5 psi, and got a 2.5" exhaust ran. i can easily walk on mid 13 cars.
i just dont see why u should rebuild for a supercharger setup. but it wouldnt hurt, unless u planned to squeeze some crazy hp number like 300whp supercharged, no nos.

thats the thing i want 300hp at less...
i ran 12.94 @105mph with type r lsd tranny..
at 7psi..
i am curently running the b20b cranck pulley..on a b18c its suppose to be 10 psi set up but the thing with my b20 bore 85 mm and 8.5/1comp...i drop 3 psi so i ran 7psi cause my chamber is bigger than the b18c....
now the thing...i have a b18c1 with b18c5 head...and what to change the piston and everything ...i would probably be 81.5mm with 10.5/1 comp... with all this...
1994 civic with rollcage
b20b
b18c5 head ported
wiseco piston 85mm
supercharger 7psi..
custom 2.5 stainless exaust
tranny type r lsd
valve et spring retainner titan
cometic head gasket
arp head stud
70mm trothel body
walbro fuel pump
skun fuel rail
450cc injecteur
clutch 6 puck ceramic
p28 avec hondata s200
and more...
will it be ok for 300whp you think...
and probably by the LHT intercooler kit....

do not get the LHT intercooler, you should get the supercharger ported.
my friend tim has a stock type r with JRSC and crv crank pulley, kamakaze 4-1 with 2.5" collector and skunk2 exhaust, aem short ram. he put down 274 whp. thats only 26 shy of 300. STOCK internals. manifold temps at 160-170, my manifold temps get to 200-210

you think so ...you meen by porting ,the intake of the supercharger will be better then the lht intercooler kit..at less it s less for porting....
so with me set up it should be around 300whp,,you think...thanks bro...

if you can't get a used lht intercooler like me then the snowperformance will be your best bet.
ps. high cr ratio (10.5-11:1) in combination with 85mm bore is your best bet to achieve close to 300hp. But keep in mind that this set up will be very hard to tune.
